About Midwest Endodontics in Omaha, Nebraska

Established in Omaha in 1997, Midwest Endodontics is located just north of 135th and West Dodge Road in the Bank of the West Business Park. Our doctors and staff's mission is to provide the highest standard of professional care in a friendly, comfortable environment. The American Dental Association has recognized endodontics as a specialty of dentistry since 1963. As a specialist, an endodontist has completed a minimum of two additional years of advanced training in endodontics after graduating from dental school.

This branch of dentistry is dedicated to diagnosing and treating diseases of the dental pulp (root canal tissue) and adjacent supporting structures. An endodontist is also experienced in determining the source of oral and facial pain and treating traumatic dental injuries. Generally, a patient is referred to an endodontist by a family dentist for a diagnosis or the completion of a specific procedure. After a comprehensive evaluation, your Endodontist will determine the diagnosis, discuss treatment alternatives, and confirm which treatment option is best for the patient.

The primary goal of endodontic procedures include resolving dental pain, infection, and inflammation. Most importantly, successful endodontic treatment allows a patient to retain a natural tooth that would otherwise require extraction.

The Value of a Natural Tooth!

According to the American Association of Endodontists, "Saving your natural tooth should always be your first choice when dental care is needed. Nothing, not even the most advanced bridges, and implants can truly replace your natural tooth." Endodontists specialize in saving injured or damaged teeth.

Many of our tooth restoration procedures enable you to keep your natural tooth for the rest of your life, ensuring comfortable chewing and a natural appearance. The A.A.E. recommends that you "do everything possible to save your teeth before considering extraction."

After all, nothing is as good as your natural tooth! We also explain our most common procedures and a detailed map and directions to our office. Our F.A.Q.s page lists answers to our patients' most frequently asked questions. We encourage you to contact us with any questions about your dental treatment.
